Yeah, my legs hurt

2005-06-15

,./Change of Seasons]--(Dream Theatre))
This is another epic song.

Today. WOAH, did lotsa walking.
Like 2.30, I left home..
Basically, I would have liked to blog that ending with "by myself", but that didn't really happen, and I did A LOT of walking, but ending up doing more interesting things. :D

So my Father had to send my Mother to the hospital for some crappy check up. Apparently it's this secret operation to add bionic parts to my Mother's body and eventually turn her into a fully operational cyborg for the SG Army. Ah hah.

Anyways, he didn't give me a lift, cause I became a merely erm, stranded fluffball in the middle of a chroniclly poluted place: TOWN.

The wastage of air con from Seah Street Deli was refreshing though.. I managed to drag a plastic bag out from my Father's car, for his laundry I think, and run across the road in time to survive 2 casualties, me and the driver's passenger. Oh well, I have this theory that the driver usually survives cause he knows how to deal with the situation and WHEN.

So I get to Bras Basah, however you spell it, went to like, two guitar shops, frankly the first one I went too was cheaper but more down market, those guitars were actually quite good.. Then the bigger one, recently renovated or something, has a test studio there, nice.. Like Yamaha, but the guitars are priced slightly above average, you know.. But they had this real wicked Grestch for $1500.. Like wow... argh, but I'm not a fan of those. There was this .. can't remember what maybe a fender strat? with a skull below the pick guard, nice.. XD. They have some real cool stuff, and I'll probably go there now and then to check their stuff out. They don't have my favourite brand of strings though..

After exploring the whole damn place, I couldn't find the graphic novel place, and No, it's not that designer book shop named "GRAPHIC NOVELS" hahah.. I remember they had some cool THE CROW figurines there so I thought of going back to check it out, but I couldn't find that place.. Sigh.. So I went on to Westin Plaza, and went down to the MRT station, then something kinda clicked and I walk back up another exit and went to Peninsula Plaza. Wanted to check out Davis.

So there's this woman with one helluva complicated day, really angry with this other guy over the phone, that was the 2ND time I went back into Davis really.. So their prices still HAVE NOT dropped after like, one month. :D, ahhahah. And yes I'm still staring at that damn hot, guitar. But I wonder what kind of case they have for it. The basses are more, very much more Hawt. But they we selling some of the really cheapo guitars.. Like, hey it's not even branded, and I bet it sounds like crap cause there was this guy trying his luck with it the other time, and yes, it sucked.
If you ever go there, and see the display guitar at the window, absolutely DO NOT mention the word "Slyvester" because EVERYONE will murder you, especially me if I happen to be around. That is ZACK WYLDE's guitar, get this straight, Slyvester cannot even play like ZACK WYLDE, so don't even think of insulting the guitar; it is sin to do so.

Then I walk upstairs to La Vanita and get myself some postcards and stickers. WHEE, and after maybe half and hour or so, I go back down to Davis and that lady is pissed off at some "evo guy", then I try and be nice, and ask for picks, I hope I didn't piss her off cause I asked to take a look at a lot of the picks in many different little boxes, I finally got some really good ones, but the downside is that it's border line ROUND, not good for P.H.ing, but the rest weren't hard enough. Note to Gloria : Don't buy flexible picks, cause you want a nice STABLE sound, not something real flimsy and it'll come out really floppy(...) when you play. Now I got some real
cool picks. :D.

Made my way back up to ground level and walked back to City Hall Interchange, but took to Orchard, cause my main purpose was to go to Kinokuniya. So I walk out like a blinking idiot, and take my time to get on to the escalator, I don't like sharing air with other people, but I was kinda rushed later on. So I get to Ngee Ann City, and walked up to Kino, get lost in the manga section (*bliss*), and then decide to check out the Band Scores.

I find this damn fucking eyesore of a bandscore, ART OF LIFE, yes the epic, glorified, overrated ART OF LIFE, no, I really like it, but they were selling just that song in the book, which was in BAD condition, but had nice pictures in it for $42 blinking shit. ONE BLOODY SONG. Ah never mind, I checked it and like the tab I got for guitar pro is the same, so no need for it.

There was also Glay's White Road album which is actually a collection of Single Ballads. I was thinking of buying it back in Japan, but i realised, Hey, GLAY DRIVE is better.. Yeah, so I kinda really wanted to buy the band score for Glay Drive, it's not there anymore. MUAHAHAHA, yes.

Anyways, They had Janne Da Arc's band score which I REALLY wanted, so I kinda hid it behind the other scores. HAHA, I'll come back to get it when I've got the money. :DDDD, and also they have erm, the Rock Show thing which is a selection of rock song scores, and they have some of my favourite pop rock bands in it. I'll only get it to play Shakalabbit's Head Scissors but what the heck you know, I'd rather get something else.

There was X Japan's Dahlia in it, I wasn't THAT interested $88 or something.. Dir En Grey's Gauge hasn't moved for like two years.. HA HA, seriously, I'm just waiting for the price to drop, cause I'm not interested to pay that kind of money. Then if you can spot it, it's real obvious, the YELLOW book with White fonts (no no, not that it's an eyesore) that's Glay's Complete collection of songs until 1998, but it's all in guitar CHORDS with the Vocals and is cheaper than Glay Drive. I didn't take it cause I don't really need the chords if I buy the proper Band Scores..

I finally bought the band score and went off to try and find my way to suntec.

So I walk and walk back to Orchard MRT, get out at the Orchard Road exit, go back down at another one a few metres down the road, and exit at the Wheelock Place exit, saw this really WHITE guy alone this time.. ahahha, usually there's a trio, today he was the only one there. Then I walk a Long way down to DB interchange, and went like SHIT! I'm walking in the TOTAL opposite direction. So I rush all the way back down, and had to cross to the opposite side at some point to get in the direction I needed to go.. Walked PAST Ngee Ann City again. Then decided to go to the Hereen, oh man, XD, just ignore me... I went to the J section on the Third level and I got this really cool guitar CD !!! WOO HOO!!! This is like the happier days ever! (HA HA, no, not a bimbo unlike someone.)

Then I waited for 36 outside the Hereen and went to Suntec, I somehow managed to get there 15 minutes before 6, cause I was meeting Juliette + her friend and my parents there. We were going to watch a Digital Movie. XD! The future has arrived. It was damn clear. WAIT, anyways, I go to Tower records and guess what, I find SIAM SHADE SINGLE DAMMIT!!! WOO HOO!!! This is like the happier days ever! (laughs VERY hard LVH)

Hahah, then I meet Juliette and her friend.. Around 6? Then we went to eat at Olio, near the foutain of wealth. There's shit loads of restaurants at the Fountain of Wealth. My Parents joined us later.. Then we went to watch a Digital Movie.

You don't need to know. :D
But we watched The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

It was a great show, but take my advice, read the book first.
Don't blame anyone if you don't get it. But it's quite clear cut lah.. I want to watch Mr & Mrs Smith though.. :D Let's see how everything goes, cause we were supposed to have the movie marathon on Thursday, then Vash couldn't make it, so it was moved to tomorrow, and then Vash just IMed me in the afternoon saying that he can make it on Thursday. But we're watching tomorrow, so like, "ShiiiiT."

Ok, I'm listening to the CD I bought at the Hereen, HOLY SHIT!!! THIS IS GOOD SHIT! it's worth every damn cent I spent on it, and I just realised, it's the soundtrack from this Arcade Game called Guitar Freaks. Basically, at arcades, it's like para para dancing, but instead of dancing along with the Arcade PC, you PLAY THE GUITAR. Like this is uber cool, I bet the guys playing it lose all the time, this stuff is Lethal, even I can't see myself playing this any time soon.. Woah... GOSH KONAMI PEOPLE ARE FREAKS MAN!!! THIS ROCKS!!!!! AHA AHAHAHAHAH.. XDDDD Don't care if it's Midi Programming lah, should be able to play this.. All needed components: TIME, PATIENCE.

E.O.S.
Enjoy while you can.
XD.

THIS ROCKS MAN!!!!!111
