So I've lost my 3 L'Arc~en~Ciel collection cds... So I can't really do the song comparison, yeah. They like have the same song structure and chords, just different keys. G7 = 1 b3 5 7 right? Ok. Gah, next time I see Gloria I must remember to give her a present, cause I keep forgetting, worse, when I remember I need to give it to her, I don't have it. :X
So anyways, I think I'll probably go on and review Diru's latest album Withering to Death. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you buy this album because it's got good stuff, although it many not be the BEST album of all their releases, the CD jacket is something worth getting the album for. To not know Dir En Grey is sin, which is more sinful than not knowing L'arc~en~ciel.
Dir En Grey Official WebpageThe stuff the AKnot Fan Club members get really rocks, so I'm jealous. XD.

Now Dir En Grey is the real thing if you want to listen to down right, dirty Japanese rock. All the melodic death metalheads don't compare to Dir En Grey not only cause Diru is Visual Kei, but also cause Diru is consistantly spewing artistic heavy shit. Ok, so you think Kyo's slightly psycho, but he's better than the other ugly posers. You think you got more attitude than Dir En Grey combined? Think again loser.
I for one idolize Kaoru cause he actually has the most bishonen face of all them rockers (can I even say that.. ) But Kaoru's got the power man, tEH MOFO POWER! XD. Die has nice hair. And I'm serious about that.
Besides liking both guitarist.. I'd say the band's heaviness wouldn't be nice without the bass, cause Toshiya is runnning the house down. One of the few bassists I really admire because he's got it going, really really talented bassist.. Gah, JOIN MY BAND IF YOU'RE A BASSIST!
Uh, if you were to change Dir En Grey's drummer, I think they'll die out, Shinya, not to be mistaken for LunaSea's Shinya the drummer too, looks totally not like what he can play? Yeah, in a sense, he looks really civillised and very calm, not an energetic person at all, then like WTF, WHAT THE HECK'S WITH THE DRUMS? IS HE HIGH OR SOMETHIGN??? Yeah, that's the ultimate reaction.
And I'll talk about Kyo last cause taking him full blast is going to kill you flat down. XD, Kyo's got the personality, attitude and voice to suit Dir En Grey. HE'S THE ONLY J ROCK VOCALIST WHO CAN DOO ITTT!!! Japanese Death Metallish, genre genre.. The only thing he can't do is RAP, don't try,, nono .. KYO STOP RAPPING. YOU SUCK AT IT. I actually have one video clip of him rapping, and hell yeah, he's got stage presence and he's going all out, then he opens his mouth to rap, then like I was screaming "G..... AWK. SHUT UP!!!! GAHHHHHHHH " Yeah, he sucks at rapping. ahaha... But Kyo's really good for the heavier stuff, and he should stick to it cause he rocks. :D
ReviewS:
1. Merciless Cult
Good choice of first track, well chosen. This kick ass song is one of the more interesting and catchy tunes on the album. For one, the lyrics have no connection to the title. But it's got a solid meaning. :D
2. C
the way Merciless Cult crossfades into C reminds me of..2C!!! hahah, no, I meant it reminds me of how Pierrot crossfaded their Barairo no Sekai into Neo Grosteque. The intro is SUPERB. Ok so like, they put the catch phrase of this song across as "Actually I want to love the world before me. Actually I do, but... death is freedom" It's a very nice song to listen to, if you do understand what Kyo is saying, cause the lyrics give it the emotion and feel.
3. 朔-saku-
I LOVE THIS SONG. When you're damn stressed and everything seems fucked up, this is the perfect song to sing. And it's heavy alright. Listen to SHINYA KICKING !!! I'd so totally love to play this song and shock the shit out of all the people I know. XD ahahaha.. I love EVERYTHIGN about this song, even the PV is great. The whole of Dir En Grey looks damn cool. :D
4. 孤独に死す、故に孤独。(Kodoku ni shisu, yue ni kodoku)
This is also a very good song, one of my favourites on the album itself. The guitar melody is nice. This is my song to sing, :D, my life story is written in it. I guess it's expressed in the perfect way, so it really got my attention.
5. 愛しさは腐敗につき (itoshisa wa fuhai nitsuki)
Can I say this is a song about decomposition and a little girl. Well, I've nothing much to comment about this song other than the fact that Kyo wants to sing about death in strange ways.
6. Jesus Christ R'n R
I thought this song had a really crappy intro.. But I changed my mind, when they tried funkin' it up and Kyo's voice came in, at first it got WORSE, then it improved. haha. My phavourite phrase: "junjou wo motte sasuruyo" meaning "I will kill with emotion" The song does improve along the way.. So try living through the intro. I don't like it very much though..
7. GARBAGE
Garbage the band anyone? XD, ANYways.. this songs tells me how much Kyo's English sucks too. Don't worrry I've heard worse. Basically like, ever heard your parents telling you they picked you up from the trash? Yeah, this song isn't the limit, but it's somewher there. Hey don't get so hyped up after this song you throw your kid into the drain. Another nice heavy song delivered with Kyo's endless, incomprehensible screaming. Very nice SOAD like riffs.
8. Machiavellism
Their grammer and speeling sucks and they know these big evil words. So anyways it means the political doctrine of Machiavelli, which denies the relevance of morality in political affairs and holds that craft and deceit are justified in pursuing and maintaining political power. Very nice heavy riffs too.. Overall very good song.
9. dead tree
Song, is great if you understand the lyrics. I don't like the melody. But then it SUDDENLY gets back on the right Diru track and rocks my treble+ bass amp like shit. And Kyo tries showing off his voice, but I thought he did better for Saku.
10. THE FINAL
YEAH!!! Here is the song a lot of people like. I like it cause it's rockin' on !! Again, the success is behind the fullness of the song, as in the song is very filled and well covered in all aspects, like it's got all the correct efx, and everything fits really nicely together. What's more, Kyo brings out the essence in the song. Got nice heavy riffs too. This song is about a mazohystic, suicidal person who seems to deem loving roses as a nice detour to hell. No I'm just talking shit. The breakdown is worth listening to.
11. Beautiful Dirt
Nice title eh? Nice song too. In fact it's my favourite song on the album cause next time I see a stupid mother fucker, I'm gonna scream the whole song out at him. Don't worrry, it's only 2.33, kinda short eh? But it's good man.. Get this "ikiteiru, dakedo shindekure" meaning "You are living, so please die" dakedo means "but", but the song kinda meant SO please die, cause Kyo's screaming like shit and cursing like BEEp BEep Anyways, it's overall purpose is pretty vulgar. Kyo goes on with his asthma inducing breathing sounds.. :D. Dammit, the rocks are filling my head, my head's feeling heavyyyyyy... XD
12. Spilled Milk
This song, is totally like Kr Cube, as in the meaning being the song and such, Spilled Milk is more like a continuation. However, the song is like the rest of the WTD line-up --- kick ass heavy shit. Enjoyable song. Rockin' with ectasy. GAHAHAHAHAAH. JUST KEEP ROCKIN AND ROCKING AND ROCKIN
13. 悲劇は目蓋を下ろした優しき鬱 (higeki wa mabuta wo oroshita yasashiki utsu)
This slow slow sad song.. Hey, at least there's solid hald meaningful lyrics behind it. The last words sung were quite nice..
14. 鼓動 (Kodou)
I would say this is a very well written song, and it's got a very nice melody to it. Simply dig the short guitar solo. Excellent song as expected from Dir En Grey.
Track Rating: because Diru ROCKS, I'm thinking I'll do it by no. of stars kinda think.

14. 鼓動 (Kodou) 10/10
Overall, this album is WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT. WTD beats Awake hollow, but take note that I prefer rock to pop and laruku has to appeal to the mass population of shojo to survive because they proclaim themselves in the POPRock genre. While Diru doesn't have to do much shit to get everyone mosh pitting too.
Well kudos to both groups for being cool and writing nicer songs.
I love Kaoru's ESP.. I actually saw it in Ochanomizu, but I didn't want to get it, I mean why buy SOMEONE else's guitar, get your own and make people BUY yours.. But on second thought if I was rich enough i'd buy that ESP model RED not Blue. XD. hahaha...
LIVE WITH THE ROCK!
