KICK ASS!
Diana Rising (Phillipines)Tight band, the ONLY band with female musicians, but even then, I don't think the title of best drummer should have gone to this band, even if you are female, you should stand equally amongst the DUDES. No doubt she could play well, but she wasn't the BEST. BUT, it was fun to watch her lah hahahah.
SIX FIGHT (Thailand)Even though they were 2nd band, I thought the other bands wouldn't have much of a chance. These dudes were both TECHNICAL and VISUAL and everyone was involved. Their break during the solo was very unexpected, yet it was like a stroke of genius that they even thought of putting it there. The vox sounded gay NO OFFENCE, but probably due to the language barrier you would think it sounded gay. whole band = KICK ASS.
SYMPHONIA (Malaysia)METAL BAND ! :D Hyper Vocalist, when the mic was fucking up he still continued lalala. The Drummer = double pedalling the WHOLE SONG. Wth, my recollection of the bassist - MAFIA, he looked damn cool with the dark glasses and all. ahahhaha. They were individually very good, but when you put Technical + Technical + Tech + More tech + Tech = NOISE. Too much cool stuff at once = overkill.
NUCLEAR (Hong Kong)Nice band, very much bordering on the Visual Kei side. I cannot remember what they played. I just remember they looked cool.
ROLLING DICES (Taiwan)I can't remember if this was the band with the bruce lee drummer or if it was Crazy 7 Days. Rolling Dices = commercial band/ but need to brush up on looks. They won the competetion, but being Metalhead at heart, I supported the other bands. Look, even 6 Fight is COMMERCIAL, but Oh NO! The language barrier. Unlucky talented bastards.
X-TECH (Singapore)WE ALL KNOW X-TECH KICKS SERIOUS ASS.
Liked the way their intro went. Nice Visuals. AHHAHAH BUT WHAT'S UP WITH THE HANTU LOOK. :D We all know the bassist was awesome. HE WON BEST BASSIST! :D I'm Singaporean wth, I was surely going to root for X-TECH. And yet again, the issue of sellability.
CRAZY 7 DAYS (China)Nice band. Couple of CUTE dudes having fun. Only vocalist with Vox multi effector. TAKING THAT EXTRA EFFORT TO CARRY YOUR SHIT AROUND PAYS OFF. :D, I'm in love with my efx pedal all over again. Unmemoriable band, but YOU SEE, DOING CRAZY THINGS OUT OF THE ORDINARY ATTRACT ATTENTION. I can only remember the Vocalist. No one else.
YOUTHWRECK (Singapore)Why were there 2 SG bands?
Alas Roban (Indonesia) Visuals = 1000/100 KICKASS! Musicality - Sounded like Medely of songs instead of a solid one piece. EXPLODED, AND WHACK THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYONE!
1) Vox - POWER VISUALS, STANCES, ACTIONS
2) Guitarist - Yngwie Malmsteen 360 guitar flips + JUMPING OFF THE
BLOODY HIGH STAGE + TAPPING BEHIND BACK + 1 minute solo.
3) Bassist - PowerStunts with band + TAPPING ON THE GROUND + UPSIDEDOWN FRETTING
4) Keys - POWER EFX (yes he won best keyboardist AGAIN :D)
5) Drummer - POWER PEDALLING (but limelight stolen by other memebers)
