I've been spending the past few days playing galneryus.
Syu reuses a lot of his riffs.
Still doesn't disprove his genius.
And he uses shit loads of chromatic scaling.
Oh well, it's his trademark.

Damn fun to play as well.

His 11s in Deep Affection really kicks ass. Yes, it's plain shred, but to come up with something like that, CREATIVITY. Then there's Whisper in the Red Sky, the bridge totally kicks ass + the ending which goes out with a BANG. Ancient Rage his sweeping at 2:33 is damn fun to play as well.
